$250 a month selling books and things

Etsy, described as the fallen angel in the stock market 2012 to 2022 gain $75 million to $2.5 billion. for 10 years. It peaked during the pandemic which we all experience as seller and then suddenly we felt the brakes and everything slowed down.  It's acquisition of UK's Depop in 2021 for 1.7 billion ate the cash and profits made over the years.  As a result, management has completely redirected the company's management towards sustained share buy-backs: these reached $577 million in 2023, and already $309 million in the first half of 2024. In the absence of a sales trend reversal, with earnings per share expected to reach $2.4 in 2024 and the share price still above $50, it is not certain that these share buybacks will be truly accretive in the long term. Dear Ms. Megan J. Brennan Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer of the United States Postal Service We are now on our way to the 22nd century, it's now the year of the Millennial ruling our society where everything is social and mobile friendly. In the 90's way back when the Internet spanned as the future of retail and e-commerce and back then when SEO's and online customer ratings and feedback played an important success and demise of online brick and mortar stores started the fast shipping and with USPS tracking on every book sold online. Today, the USPS tracking numbers can be safely assumed as a requirement on every transaction sold online and shipped "fast".  Yet from the 1990's when the USPS Website tracking info had issues on "Invalid Number", "Input Correct Number", "Pre-Shipment" and "No Information" available till today a few months to 2018, these same problems prevail and continues. I c...

Victory! Amazon Will Collect and Remit Sales Tax in All States With Sales Tax Laws This story took like 9 years in the making.  Way back when it started, every independent book retailer lost sales online trying to comply with adding sales tax on every sale. This resulted on online book buyers merely going to Amazon as they did not have to pay additional sales tax adding up to the cost of each book. This finally vindicated the fact that no one is above bigger than Uncle Sam. And besides we as taxpayers benefit from paying taxes. It was years of advocacy initiatives with fellows from the American Booksellers Association. Finally, it is done and Amazon will start collecting Sales Tax by April 1, 2017. Nowadays when it's getting much and much impossible to think of profitability in selling books, when even E-Commerce platforms offering advanced website integrations and SEO's do not want to go to books as a category stating it's really so fast moving, cheap pr...

Today's economic depression has been the main ingredient of the failures in the different industry sectors.  As the impact now reaches the streams of the high tech industry, maybe we can also re-assess some of the major impediments affecting large technology savvy companies experiencing the perils of the economy. Yes, the truth depicts the realities of times, a recession similar to the great 1929 depression, a president of change, a tumbling financially challenges world but still have the obligation to tell the world to be compassionate, hope for the best, have faith and believe in God and the laws of attraction. Like any e-commerce and web content traffic generated business, the simple business model of Affordable Books comes f...
